Goodbye Wisdom Teeth

On Friday I got all four of my wisdom teeth out. I was supposed to get them out when I was 17 but kept putting it off.

This has been breakfast, lunch, and dinner. . .

And the occasional Frosty:

And thanks to Joseph I have this wonderful picture forever. This was right after the procedure when I was obviously still out of it.

And speaking of Joe, he was wonderful: he woke me up every 3-4 hours during the night to be sure my pain meds didn't wear off, he cleaned, cooked, made sure my belly was full so my pain meds wouldn't make me sick, and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I felt really loved :)

And of course these furries were by my side the whole time too!

And we can't leave out this video...I should be embarrassed but it makes me laugh.

I'm just glad they are finally out!

Kitchen Floor

Last January we ripped up the old ugly, carpet in our living room and replaced it with bamboo wood floor (see post here). We also bought enough to eventually put in the kitchen too. And finally, a year later we said goodbye to the ugly cream laminate!

Here is the before picture:

And now the after!

I love love love how it turned out and we saved so much money by installing it ourself (and thanks to the in-laws ;)! I also read recently that wood flooring is a popular kitchen trend for 2013. Perfect timing.

Family Pictures

The last pictures Joseph and I had together was back in 2006. We figured it was time to get professional pictures of the two of us, plus snap a few for our 2012 Christmas card.

As you know, this was the picture we picked for our Christmas card:

And then we snapped a few with just the two of us. Getting two dogs to pose and look towards the camera is a lot of work.

I love this one of the pups

The beautiful estate in the background is where I started my career as a wedding planner -- West Manor Estate

What I love most about this picture is how good my ombre hair looks...haha!

Many thanks to our talented friend Libby from Elizabeth Bundrick: Photography & Design!

Last Christmas'y' Post

One of my favorite things about Christmas is all the beautiful Christmas cards. This year I wanted to display them. I used twine, mini clothes pins, and washi tape and viola! Perfect way to display them.

And now that it's January 5th I still can't take them down. So even though everything has been put away until next year, this still lingers and I love it.

Thanks to everyone who sent us a beautiful Christmas card!

Happy New Year!

We spent New Years Eve with some of our greatest friends! 1st stop was Wasabi's for some yummy hibachi steak and chicken.

The next stop was to our friends, Andrew and Kathleen's beautiful new home. She is super talented in everything she does so I knew it was going to be great party. Funny story about the '2013 resolution' banner below. Someone wrote a resolution for Joseph and I. It said 'Have a Baby' with our names signed at the bottom. Once we arrived I added the 'Not' ;)

Ana & I

Kathleen, me, Ashley, Taylor, & Libby with our own NYE ball haha!
