DIY Pallet Table

I love easy projects and projects that are free, even better!  Joseph and I love having an inviting outdoor space, we enjoy entertaining and spending summer evenings/nights outside. One thing we try to avoid is spending a lot of cash on expensive outdoor furniture. We purchased two Target love seats on the "off season" and got them for a steal (plus used the RedCard). Next, we needed a table but didn't want to spend $100. DIY pallet projects are all over Pinterest, so that was the answer. We went to Lowes and scouted out their pallet section for one that had boards close together. We found one!

I stained it (Minwax Special Walnut) and then we attached legs.

We completed our fence last week, planted our garden (squash, roma tomatoes, green peppers, and cucumbers), and now have a table. The only thing left to do is build a fire pit (see our old one here) and we are summer ready!

Bring on the summer nights!

7 months

Size: Size 3 diapers. Six month clothing but mostly 9 months. She can fit into some of her 12 month clothing (depending on brand). And her feet are still tiny lol.

Eyes: So blue.

Hair: Blonde hair and enough for a tiny ponytail!

Sleeping: Two good naps a day. 7:30 p.m. bedtime. Wakes up between 5 and 6:30 a.m. to eat and goes back until 8 a.m. or after.

Eating: Eats every 4/4.5 hours. Drinks 6 oz. without food. When food is involved she drinks 3 oz. I'm down to breast feeding in the morning and right before bed.

-Says dada
-Cut your top two "fang teeth" (that makes 4 teeth!)
-Learned to whisper, click your tongue, and breathes heavy when excited
-You've also started sniffing heavily, so I'm trying to associate that with "who stinks?"
-We celebrated your 1st Easter on Tangier. You loved pulling the grass out of your Easter basket.
-You experienced your 1st thunderstorm and you kept looking at the window every time you heard the loud thunder.
-You reach for us to pick you up
-1st trip to Mister Goodies. You just watched us eat our cones :) Soon baby girl, soon.

Loves: bath time especially now that you can sit up and play with your bath toys. Being out and about. Bedtime (mama and dada love that too!). People her size :)

Hates: Cleaning her face after solids. When you're overly tired.

Words/Sounds: Dada. So you can now say: mama, dada, and hey. Mama has sadly disappeared from your vocabulary since you've learned to say dada. They say it's typical but I hope you soon start saying it again :)

Nicknames: Lolo, Lo.

Easter 2015

Another 1st for Harlow and this stage is SO fun! I love watching her face light up when she gets excited and how she takes EVERYTHING in.

{outfit and ears from Target}

I had this same homemade bunny basket when I was little and my mom had one made for Harlow.

I got a glimpse of how Christmas will be this year. She loved exploring her basket and loved the grass even more. That's how it goes, you put tons of thought into a fun basket and she wants the grass. HA! She loved her stuffed lamb and jellies the best. We got to try out the bubbles yesterday and she loved watching them fly away.

I really wanted Harlow to wear a bonnet but they are so hard to find. I found some on Etsy but they were $30+. My mom saved the day, have I mentioned she saves everything?! This was my bonnet and it fit perfect. I brought back some really cute dresses too!

So glad we got to spend her 1st Easter with our family!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
