36 weeks

How far along: 36 weeks
Gender: Boy.
Weight gain: 18 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Anything flowy or stretchy.
Stretch marks: Just the few from my last pregnancy.
Belly button in or out: In.
Sleep: Sleeping good.
Best moment of the week: Taking Harlow to the zoo for the 1st time, dyeing eggs, egg hunt, and celebrating Easter.
Miss anything: Energy, it's this point in pregnancy that I start to dream about having my pre-preggo body back -- no aches or pains please!
Movement: Yes, all the time. He's a powerful little dude.
Cravings: Still crushed ice and more crushed ice.
Queasy or Sick: Ugh the cramping and pressure. Some days I feel like he's going to fall out, TMI I know. I'm actually on the mend from having a 24 hour bug. I woke up Saturday morning throwing up, which is so hard because obviously I have to stay hydrated. I'd finally feel hydrated and then throw it all up again. Glad to be on the mend.
Looking forward to: Getting my hair done on Thursday haha, beautiful spring weather, and finishing up my last 2 weddings until after the baby is born.

Easter 2016

Easter was a bit different this year due to not spending it with family like we normally do. I just didn't feel up to traveling 7 hours and being a month away from my due date made me nervous. We made the best of it though!

We dyed eggs on Friday and she had the best time picking out the colors and watching the eggs turn.

She hunted for eggs on Saturday morning.

And planted magical jelly beans :p

On Easter morning her excitement was the cutest. She was so, so excited looking through her basket. My mom got her Calico Critters and she would baby talk to them. She was even excited for her Snow White DVD and she has no idea who she is, haha.

The magic beans turned to lollipops!

And I cooked my 1st solo Easter dinner which included ham, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, and spoonbread. I had a lot of help from Joe because I was still recovering from a 24 hour bug and it turned out really good. I've never baked a ham before, so I'm pretty proud of myself.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter filled with family and friends!

Easter Basket

Is it just me or is Easter turning into Christmas? I'm all about a good basket and not spending a lot of money. This is Harlow's second Easter, so I'm still kinda new to this but I do like to keep spring and warm weather in mind. The biggest splurge was Snow White and then the book, I couldn't resist.

She's doesn't have a huge sweet tooth and honestly I'm okay with that, she's still little. And let's be real, she's crazy enough let's limit the sugar as much as possible! So with warm weather in mind I filled the basket with fun things like: a bunny sippy cup, bubble wand, sidewalk chalk, and bubble bath -- which will come in handy for those long summer days outside. She already begs daily to go outside, I can't imagine her excitement when we set up her little kiddie pool. And for a little treat I threw in some of her favorite crackers, Annie's Cheddar Bunnies (and they fit the theme) and a few pink whirly pops because that'll blow her mind! I'm really looking forward to this weekend: warmer weather, Easter egg hunt, dying eggs, and of course Easter sunday! I'm attempting my 1st ham, wish me luck!

34 weeks

So thankful for the opportunity to be a "tester" in Lindsey Hinkley's beautiful, new studio. She's amazing behind the camera and with kids.

How far along: 34 weeks
Gender: Boy.
Weight gain: 17 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Anything flowy or stretchy.
Stretch marks: Just the few from my last pregnancy.
Belly button in or out: In.
Sleep: Sleeping good...Surprisingly just waking up one time and falling back to sleep pretty quick. I slept good while pregnant with Harlow too.
Best moment of the week: These pics!
Miss anything: Energy, tired of feeling exhausted all the time. After this weekend I'll have two weddings left until after the baby -- in the home stretch!
Movement: Yes, all the time. He's a powerful little dude.
Cravings: Crushed ice and more crushed ice. Pears and no, not the healthy kind. The kind that's pre-sliced and sits in syrup.
Queasy or Sick: Feeling good besides some major pressure and cramping.
Looking forward to: My baby shower on Sunday :)

18 months

A year and a half...My goodness, where does time go? This girl is such a blessing and so much fun, I just love this age! I love watching her explore the world around her and it's crazy what she's learning daily. She has such a firecracker personality but also the sweetest spirit.

Weight: 25 lbs. (80th percentile)
Height: 32.5 inches (73rd percentile)

Size: Just switched to size 5 diapers. Wearing 18 month and 2t clothing.

Eyes: Blue.

Hair: Blonde and getting long.

Sleeping: Sleeps from 7:30 p.m. - 7:30/8 a.m. and one good nap a day. She's the best sleeper, we are doomed with baby #2 :|

Eating: Still eating like a champ, drinks almond milk from a bottle, loves water, and uses a pacifier (tubee)
Favorite foods: favorite foods remain the same for the most part: squeeze fruit pouches, string cheese, pickles, cucumber, avocado, basically all fruits (apples, bananas, clementines, kiwi, berries, pomegranate), pancakes/waffles, eggs, raisins, spaghetti/any pasta dish, pb-j, lunch meat (turkey/ham), fajita chicken with avocado, Annie's cheddar bunnies.

-Talking SO much -- it's ridiculous how much the kid can say.
-Understanding when we explain things to her.
-Mimics our actions (scary). For example: when the dogs obnoxiously bark we tell them to stop. She will hear them barking, run outside after them, and wave her finger at them saying "no no."
-Recognizes having to "peepee" or when I am (she follows me everywhere).
-Finally starting to sit on the sofa to watch 10 minutes worth of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (ha).
-She's learning that she can stall. For example: when I need to change her diaper she runs to her room and dives into her teepee and buries her head in a pillow. She laughs as I pull her out.
-She knows that when I actually get dressed we are going somewhere. She immediately starts saying "bye-bye."

-Playing in her room
-Playing with friends
-Playing "tea" at her play table
-Her kitchen
-Little people and princess castle
-Her "bebe" and stroller
-Bath time
-Going "nigh-nigh"
-Her two tubies (pacifiers) -- she sucks on one and holds the other
-Going bye-bye
-The puppies
-When we tell her secrets
-Giving "snugs" (snuggles) and kisses
-Little Owl Lost is still her favorite book!
-Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
-My belly and lifts my shirt up all the time to point and kiss the "bebe"

Hates: being hangry, when it's passed her bedtime, leaving Babygarten at the Library (complete meltdown every single time).

-So many words and communicating very well. It's amazing what she picks up daily!

Harlow's Room

Harlow's bedroom is my favorite room in our house, it's so fun and whimsy. I wish I could design kid's rooms as a living, it's so much fun.

There was one pesky wall in her room that was blank and that was on the 'list of things to do' before baby brother comes. I wanted to do a fun gallery wall and thanks to Target's new Pillowfort collection, I was able to finish it off! I started collecting items before she was born, so it only took a year and a half haha.

On Tuesday it was a glorious 70 degrees, so I changed Harlow's bookshelf out to her spring and Easter books. She has quite the book collection and it makes her room feel festive.

I love watching her play in this space we designed for her. Another perk is that all of these pieces will eventually fit into a "big girl" room. There's definitely no rush on that!
